Bindaas Googly Review: It’s like watching Hindi Films

This is not the first time where while watching a Kannada Film, i got a feeling of watching a Hindi Film. Similar thing happened with me earlier as well. But Bindaas Googly goes a step further! It is a mixture of four to five dances movies that included Dance Dance (1987), F.A.L.T.U (2011), and more recent ABCD series.

After the film got over, some Kannadiga’s were having a conversation and i overheard “Why did they made this in Kannada? This must be a Hindi Film!”.

So our Hindi Film, Ooops! Kannada Film, tells the story of college students who are least interested in academics (Just like the Hindi film F.A.L.T.U) and wants to become dancers. They are not supported by their parents or their college principal (Just like the Hindi film F.A.L.T.U and ABCD). They get a passionate dancer to become their teacher (Just like the Hindi film ABCD), but there is no Prabhu Deva here!

As i mentioned indirectly, Bindaas Googly has nothing new to offer. A subject which is told numerous times and same old school cinematography. Musically it is just average.

Performance wise, the actors are very good here! But all of them are handicapped because of the film’s dull story. May be some sector of audience might like this film, but a total thumbs down from us!
