‘Ghoul’ Review: a terrifying horror masterpiece
This mini-series on Netflix made a huge noise before it was out! And you have to trust us, all the noise was worth. Ghoul brings two of the most prolific production houses together for the first time in the history of collaboration. Blumhouse Productions (Jason Blum) and Phantom (Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane).
Ghoul is an inspiration of Arabic folklore related to ‘ghoul’, an evil spirit (Or the ‘Bad Djinn’ in the Islam) that impersonates its victim whose flesh it consumes in return of a Soul.
The series takes Indian horror content to a totally new level of scares and chills which you have never experimented on Indian screen earlier.
Nida (Radhika Apte) is a military intelligence trainee who has recently made her own father arrested because she knows her father is involved in terrorism activities. On the other side, Nida’s father is convinced whatever he is doing, it’s the right thing.
Nida is called to crack a very tough Terrorist Ali Saeed this time to an isolated Military area. But the things doesn’t seemed the way it was explained about Ali Saeed. All the hell breaks loose and Nida faces a Demon which the world must never face.
Ghoul is a perfect example of a terrifying Horror Masterpiece which ends in a 3 Episode Mini-Series leaving you wanting for more.
