“I feel extremely happy that i got to play variety of roles”: Radhika Chetan
Radhika Chetan needs no introduction at all. The actress charmed everyone with her stellar performances in films such as RangiTaranga, Hottegagi Genu Battegagi and more recently, Asathoma Sadgamaya. The gorgeous actress is presently shooting for Hari Anand’s thriller Chase and she talks about her journey, plans and her upcoming film Chase.
“I feel extremely Happy that I got to play variety of roles until now. Rangitaranga gave me the initial push and it’s no less than a dream debut. None of us in the team expected that it would be received so well and would run in theaters for an year! KaafiThota with TN Seetharam sir gave me a huge learning curve. Hottegaagi Genu Battegaagi will remain a memorable film for me as I got to play a pivotal role alongside Ananth Nag sir. Everyday at shoot is different and the learning seldom stops“. says the lovely actress on her journey so far.
Since Radhika has received so much praise here in Sandalwood, on trying her hands in other language films, she has an answer ready “I definitely would want to explore other languages as I believe that art and story telling has no boundaries. In fact I am brushing up my Tamil speaking skills“.
The actress is presently shooting for a unique thriller titled Chase which is directed by Hari Anand. Radhika proudly informs “Chase, again has me play this girl with strong, intelligent and independent side to get character with a never give up attitude. It’s an investigative thriller directed by Hari Anand and cinematography by Ananth Urs“.
And for her immense love towards her soil Kannada Cinema, the actress gets more proud and inserts “Though I can’t think of it as the most difficult part, I would say that I’d love to see the kannada industry do better with self contained, technically strong scripts and gripping screen plays. Best part of being here is it’s the place I belong and it feels home. I receive immense love and support from the people here“.
The actress is busy hearing other scripts as well. On finalizing her future film, Radhika Chetan sweetly signs off by saying “ I will confirm the others once I sign the dotted line“.
