#MeToo: Namaste England director Vipul Shah accused of sexual misconduct by Sacred Games actress Elnaaz!

Sacred Games actress Elnaaz, who played Zoya Mirza in the Saif Ali Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui-starrer Netflix series, Sacred Games, has shared her ordeal of trying to land a role in Namaste England.

Elnaaz Norouzi, has said that she had been meeting director Vipul Shah, whose film Namaste England released today, several times for a role in the film. She had, by her admission, started meeting him when the film was in the pre-production stage. According to the actress’ account, the filmmaker got close to her when they met up to sign her for the second lead of the film, even giving her a peck on the cheek. However, she still didn’t land the role. When she later auditioned for it, she said he made her feel like she was “planet’s worst actress.” Later when she called the director to know as to when was the shoot expected to begin, he assured her that her portions will be shot in London later.

When she returned to the country and got in touch with Vipul, he called her to Patiala on the pretext that he had arranged workshops for her there. A crew member working on the film confirmed to the newspaper that Elnaaz had indeed been present in Patiala and was being considered for the role. However, once there, when she asked for the script, Vipul avoided her, even saying, “Come to my room, I will make you hear the script.”
