Sunny (Shardul Rana) is seen hitting on the landlord’s daughter, while his perpetually anxious father Sunil (Manu Rishi Chadha) is on the verge of getting divorced to his crazy wife Priya (Mahie Gill). The bed-ridden grandmother (biji) is the one who actually binds them together. It’s been 30 long years since the authoritative Darshan Kaur had last seen the world. What follows next is the family trying to recreate the late 1980s, complete with broken television and Doordarshan.

 

The storyline of the movie is quite good and entertaining. The director (Gagan Puri) has written the movie with good comedy punches. It does have the potential for an interesting and funny watch. The role of the guy shown in the movie babbling is quite enthralling. Though the star cast of the movie doesn’t consists of fame faces, it is sure to captivate the audience. The movie besides entertaining ensures to deliver message to the audience.

 

Doordarshan is an upcoming comedy drama film directed by Gagan Puri and produced by Arya Films (Ritu Arya). The film stars Mahie Gill and Manu Rishi Chaddha. It is scheduled to release on 28 February 2020.
