Tulasi Rasam to Boost Immunity
In this weather, one important thing to be followed is to increase our immunity. All the necessary safety measures should be followed to increase immunity.
Our body should not only be protected from cold and common infections but also it's necessary to take precautions against serious illness. As they say, Precaution is Better than Cure, it is better to follow it.
So let us see the preparation of Tulsi Rasam to Boost Immunity.
Tulasi leaves – 1 cup
Tomato – 3
Tamarind – small marble size
Jeera – ½ teaspoon
Pepper ½ teaspoon
Garlic – 6 cloves
Turmeric – ¼ teaspoon
Asafetida – ¼ teaspoon
Rasam powder – ½ teaspoon ( optional)
Jaggery – ½ teaspoon ( optional)
Oil and ghee – 1 spoon each
Coriander leaves – to garnish
Mustard – ½ teaspoon
Curry leaves – few
Red chili – 1
First, wash and roughly chop the tulsi leaves.
Chop and mash the tomatoes. Soak the tamarind in 1 cup of water for ten minutes and extract the juice.
Crush the jeera, pepper, coriander seeds, and garlic.
In a pan/Kadai add oil add the tulsi leaves saute for a minute. Add the tomatoes and the crushed masala and saute for a minute.
Now add the tamarind water, salt, turmeric, asafetida, rasam powder, and curry leaves.
Close the pan with the lid and cook for 5 to 10 mins.
Give a mix to the rasam and add the jaggery and close the pan for a min.
Finally, add the tempering to the rasam and add coriander leaves. Give a quick mix, and off the stove.
Serve with hot rice.
