"After Income Tax Raid, Actress Taapsee Pannu Has A Rebuttal".
Actress Taapsee Pannu is back with a rebuttal for Kangana Ranaut and Finance Minister, after three days long income-tax raid and interrogation.
The income-Tax department raided the premises of actress Taapsee Pannu, Anurag Kashyap, and others in different cities and allegedly found irregularities worth crores of rupees.
Actress Kangana Ranaut was quick to endorse the raid and slammed Taapsee and Anurag with name-calling and whatnot.
Now, after three days, diva Taapsee is back on social media and dolls out a three-part tweet, slamming the claims made by Kangana and Finance Minister as well.
It read, “3 days of intense search of 3 things primarily, 1. The keys of the “alleged” bungalow that I apparently own in Paris. Because summer holidays are around the corner”
“2. The “alleged” receipt worth 5 crores to frame n keep for future pitching coz I’ve been refused that money before, 3. My memory of 2013 raid that happened with me according to our honorable finance minister P.S- “not so sasti” anymore”
The tussle between Taapsee and Kangana started over SSR’s case, which later transitioned into farmer’s protest, where Pannu endorsed the protest and Kangana called protester’s terrorists. The duo has been mud-slinging, name-calling, and indulging in twitter-spat for almost a year now.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Taapsee has a series of projects lined-up for release in 2021, starting with Looop Lapeta, which is an official remake of the 1998 German film Run Lola Run, and Dobaaraa, Anurag Kashyap's thriller film produced by Ekta Kapoor's Cult Movies.
She finished shooting for the sports drama Rashmi Rocket in January and will be next seen in Vinil Mathew's murder mystery Haseen Dillruba opposite Vikrant Massey.
Pannu has also signed to portray cricketer Mithali Raj in Shabaash Mitthu.
