Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer ‘Good News’ to release on 27th December

Actor Akshay Kumar on Saturday announced that his upcoming film with Kareena Kapoor Khan will hit the theatres on December 27. The film is produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Akshay’s Cape Of Good Films.

Akshay announced the new release date on Twitter. “Good News for a good start to the new year! See you on 27th December,” he wrote.

Directed by Raj Mehta, the film also features Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani. The film was earlier scheduled for a September 6 release.

Kareena and Akshay play a couple trying to get pregnant in ‘Good News’. Diljit and Kiara have been shooting for the film since November and Akshay and Kareena joined work late in January. The shoot for the movie has been completed.

This will be the second time that Diljit is working with Kareena, after ‘Udta Punjab’. Akshay and Kareena are reuniting on the big screen after four years.

They last co-starred in ‘Gabbar is Back’; they had also featured together in films like ‘Ajnabee’, ‘Kambakkht Ishq’, ‘Tashan’, ‘Aitraaz’ and ‘Bewafaa’.
