"Akshay Kumar feels delighted as his ‘Prithviraj’ co-actor Sanjay Dutt".
Superstar Akshay Kumar, who is sharing screen space with Sanjay Dutt in Yash Raj Films productions upcoming film titled ‘Prithviraj’ expressed his happiness on Twitter when he came to know that his 61-year-old co-actor emerged victorious in his battle with lung cancer. Akshay said that he is looking forward to meeting Sanjay Dutt on their upcoming period drama film’s set.
Sanjay Dutt took to social media on Wednesday to share the good news with all his fans. ‘Mission Kashmir’ actor who emerged victorious with his battle from cancer expressed gratitude to his family, friends, fans, and the staff of Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai who treated him. In his Instagram post, Sanjay Dutt also wrote that today happens to be his kids’ birthday and this is the best gift that he can give to them. He was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in August this year.
Reacting to Sanjay’s Dutt’s tweet in which he gave an update about his health to his fans and followers, Akshay Kumar tweeted, “Best news! So good to hear this baba. Looking forward to seeing you on set real soon.”
Before ‘Prithviraj’, Sanjay Dutt has shared screen space with Akshay Kumar in ‘Amaanat’ (1994), ‘Blue’ (2009), and ‘Desi Boyz’ (2011).
‘Prithviraj’ is directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi and produced by Aditya Chopra under his production house Yash Raj Films. The film is about the life of the Chahamana Rajput king Prithviraj Chauhan and stars Akshay Kumar in the titular role, while Manushi Chhillar (in her film debut) plays his wife Sanyogita. Apparently, Sanjay Dutt plays the role of an antagonist in the film.
It also stars Sonu Sood, Ashutosh Rana, Manav Vij, and Sakshi Tanwar in important roles.
As per news reports, Akshay Kumar, Sonu Sood, and Manushi Chhillar have already started shooting for the film and Sanjay Dutt will join the cast and crew of the film post-Diwali.
