Amitabh Bachchan And Abhishek Bachchan Wishes Happy Birthday Jaya Bachchan
Noted actress and politician Jaya Bachchan turns a year older today, actor husband Amitabh Bachchan and son, Abhishek Bachchan just took to their respective social media profiles and wished her abundantly.
Thes pian Amitabh Bachchan shared a throwback picture with wife Jaya, and wished her happy birthday, along thanking everyone else for wishing her as well.
Big B wrote, “To them that have wished Jaya on her birthday today, my gratitude and love…thank you for remembering her…it will be impossible to respond to each of you individually, hence this…love…Dhanywaad Aur Aabhar…she has been given your wishes and she sends her thanks”
Abhishek Bachchan wrote a sweet message for her mother, which read, “As every child will tell you, their favourite word is… MA! Happy Birthday, Ma. Although you are away in Delhi due to the lockdown and we all are here in Mumbai, know that we are thinking of you and carry you in our hearts. I love you!”
Jaya made her film debut as a teenager in Satyajit Ray’s Mahanagar, Bachchan’s first screen role as an adult was in Guddi, directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee, with whom she would collaborate in several films.
She was noted for her performances in films including Uphaar, Koshish and Kora Kagaz, among others. She appeared alongside her husband Amitabh Bachchan in films such as Zanjeer, Abhimaan, Chupke Chupke, Mili and Sholay.
Post marriage to Jaya took a sabbatical from work, she returned to acting with Govind Nihalani’s Hazaar Chaurasi Ki Maa in 1998. Since then, she has appeared in several critically and commercially successful films such as Fiza, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham and Kal Ho Naa Ho, all which garnered her critical acclaim, as well as several awards and nominations.
