Actress Amrita Rao and her husband RJ Anmol welcomed a baby boy on Sunday. The couple’s spokesperson said in a statement, “Amrita Rao and RJ Anmol welcomed a baby boy this morning. Both the mother and baby are healthy and doing well.”
Amrita’s younger sister and actress Preetika Rao also shared the good news on her Twitter handle and congratulated her sister and brother-in-law, she wrote, “It's a Boy! Congratulations AmritaRao RJ Anmol #AmritaRao #mom !!!”.
Amrita shared the news of her pregnancy in October. She shared a photo of herself flaunting the baby bump and wrote, “For YOU it’s the 10th Month…But for the US, it’s THE 9th !!! Surprise Surprise ..Anmol and I are in our NINE’th month Already !! Too excited to share this good news with You my Fans And Friends ( sorry had to keep it tucked in my Belly All this long ) But It’s True … the Baby is Coming Soon… An exciting journey for me, rjanmol27, and our Families…Thank you universe And thank you ALL Keep blessing."
Amrita Rao made her Hindi film debut with ‘Ab Ke Baras’ in 2002. She has been a part of successful films such as ‘Ishq Vishk’, ‘Masti’, ‘Main Hoon Na’, ‘Vivaah’, and ‘Jolly LLB’.
She was last seen in late Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray’s biopic named ‘Thackeray’ where she played the role of Meenatai Thackeray. She was cast opposite Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the film.
Amrita’s husband RJ Anmol is currently hosting a music reality show ‘Jammin’ which airs on Colors TV.
