His 2014 mixtape, “Faces,” was almost autobiographical on the subject of drug use. There were also references to premature death. His most recent album, Swimming, was just released on August 3.

Miller has battled substance abuse issues for years … something that came up again in the wake of his breakup with Ariana Grande Months earlier, in May the rapper was arrested for DUI and hit and run after he struck a power pole in the San Fernando Valley with his Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon and fled the scene; after law enforcement officers matched the vehicle’s license plates to Miller’s address, they arrested him at his home, He fled the scene but cops say he later confessed at his home. He blew 2 times the legal limit.

The rapper went on to open up  about his arrest, which  occurred  a week after news broke  that  Miller  and  longtime  girlfriend  Ariana Grande had split, during a conversation with Zane Lowe on Beats 1 on Apple Music in July.
