"Bhumi Pednekar begins preparation for ‘Badhaai Do’ co-starring Rajkummar Rao".
Actress Bhumi Pednekar, who will be sharing screen space with Rajkummar Rao for the first time in ‘Badhaai Do’, has begun her preparation for the upcoming family drama film. In the film, Bhumi will be seen playing the role of a PT teacher who aspires to play handball for the country while Rajkummar will play the role of a tough cop.
Sharing a smiling selfie of her in one of the Instagram stories, Bhumi wrote, “Day 1 #BadhaiDo Prep Begins”.
‘Badhaai Do’ is a sequel of the National Award-winning film ‘Badhaai Ho’ which starred Ayushmann Khurrana, Gajraj Rao, Neena Gupta, Surekha Sikri, and Sanya Malhotra in lead roles.
Produced by Junglee Pictures, ‘Badhaai Do’ is written by Suman Adhikary and writer of ‘Badhaai Ho’ Akshat Ghidial and helmed by Harshavardhan Kulkarni director of ‘Hunterrr’.The film will go on floors in January.
Bhumi Pednekar was last seen onscreen in Alankrita Shrivastava’s ‘Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare’ along with Konkona Sen Sharma, Vikrant Massey, and Amol Parashar.
Bhumi will also feature in the upcoming horror thriller film ‘Durgavati’ which is a remake of the 2018 Telugu-Tamil film ‘Bhaagamathie’. In the film, Bhumi will play the role of an IAS officer and it also stars Arshad Warsi, Mahie Gill, and Karan Kapadia in important roles.
