BIG BREAKING: Air India flight crashes in Kerala, the pilot died and few passengers injured! 

Air India Dubai-Calicut Express flight carrying 191 passengers skids off into two pieces in Kerala. The pilot was reported dead and several passengers died in the flight accident say reports.  

 Here is yet another disastrous event of 2020 took place in Kerala today. At least two people are feared dead after the Air India Dubai-Calicut Express crashed and landed in Calicut Airport in Kerala this evening carrying approximately 191 passengers. 

According to the local TV reports, the plane was coming in from Dubai and it overshot the runway as it landed during heavy rain, with its fuselage splitting into two pieces as it skidded off the runaway. 

Further reports by Police confirm has at least two passengers are feared dead and 35 of them are severely injured. Meanwhile, the initial rescue operations are on and passengers are being shifted to hospital for emergency medical care said civil Aviation Ministry spokesperson Rajeev Jain. 

The Air India Express flight IX 1344 operated by B737 aircraft from Dubai to Calicut overshot runway at Kozhikode at 1941 (7.41 PM) hrs tonight. No fire reported at the time of landing and the incident has took place amid incessant rainfall. There were 174 passengers, 10 infants, 2 pilots and 5 cabin crew on board in the aircraft.

In plight of tragic fire accident CM of Kerala Pinarayi Vijayan has said, “"Have instructed Police and Fire Force to take urgent action in the wake of the plane crash at the Kozhikode International airport (CCJ) in Karipur. Have also directed the officials to make necessary arrangements for rescue and medical support”.
