Bollywood Pays Tribute On Maharana Pratap Jayanti
Bollywood filmmakers such as Nila Madhab Panda, Anil Sharma, Madhur Bhandarkar and more pay tribute to Maharana Partap on his Birth Anniversary.
9th May is remembered as the birth anniversary of the Great Rajput King, the Lion of Mewar, the magnificent Maharana Pratap Singh and is celebrated every year as the Maharana Pratap Jayanti. Be his heavily armed attire, his geared weapons or his special horse Chetak, everything about him is an epitome of bravery and heroism. This year marks the 480th Birth anniversary of the great ruler.

Born to Uday Singh II and Jaiwanta Bai , Maharana Pratap ruled Mewar from 1572- 1597 and is always known for his fearlessness and valour. Remembered for the famous battle of Haldighati in 1576 against the Mughal Emperor Akbar where he fought with an army of 22000 soldiers against 80000 soldiers of Akbar, he preferred to sacrifice his life than surrendering against his enemies.
Pratap's name is engraved in gold as a king who fought with the Mughals for the honour of the nation. Today on his birthday, people all over the country are looking back to his great achievements.
