‘CHANDA MAMA DOOR KE’ to be made as a tribute to the late actor.
Filmmaker Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan confirms the making of the late actor’s dream project ‘CHANDA MAMA DOOR KE’. He reveals that the film will be revived to pay a tribute to his lost friend.
Though the script is still on its way, Sanjay said in an interview that it will be really uneasy for him to replace Sushant Singh Rajput and cast someone else for the lead role.
Speaking to the media about the actor’s sad demise, he said, “I am at a loss of words because it never occurred that he could take such a drastic step. We would keep talking about space and exchange material about it. We had finalized some projects to start off when the lockdown was called off. One didn’t know what was on his mind. He didn’t sound like he had a problem. Sushant was someone I could speak to till the wee hours and that is what had happened even during our last chat. He was a bright and intelligent guy. Whenever we met, it was always fun talking to him about so many things, including films. He was fond of space as a subject”.
When asked about the film release, Sanjay is inflexible about his decision to retain ‘CHANDA MAMA DOOR KE’ as a movie for the big screen and not any OTT platform.
