Chris Hemsworth, set to make his “desi” debut with thriller drama
Chris Hemsworth’s is all set to make his desi debut with the Netflix thriller drama “Dhaka” produced by “Avengers: Infinity War” (2018) directors Joe Russo and Anthony Russo’s independent production house. It would be epic to see some of our favorite Hollywood actors come down to be a part of ‘desi’ projects, speaking of which, ‘Sacred Games’ has earned an applause across the world over and has put India’s niche cinema on the global map.
The film will be the directorial debut of stunt coordinator Sam Hargrave, who has worked on several films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film will be released on Netflix.
On the work front, the Russo brothers are busy preparing for the next Marvel installment which has already raised the expectations of everyone around the world.
“Dhaka” will be shot in India and Thailand. The story revolves around Hemsworth’s character rescuing a kidnapped Indian boy held in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. “Physically brave but an emotional coward, the man has to come to terms with his identity and sense of self,” the report notes. The script is by Joe Russo.
Currently Hemsworth is filming for the upcoming “Men in Black” spin-off alongside his “Thor: Ragnarok” co-star Tessa Thompson and can be seen in the upcoming mystery thriller “Bad Times at the El Royale,” which is scheduled to hit the theaters by October 12.
