Good news for Cinema Goers in Maharashtra. The Government is planning to re-open the theatres from 5th November with 50% occupancy.
Cinema halls are finally set to reopen on 5th November in Mumbai and the rest of Maharashtra after months of being shut down in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. This includes regular movie halls, theatres, and multiplexes outside containment zones.
They will, however, be allowed to function at only 50% capacity under the circumstances and No eatables will be allowed inside.
Taran Adarsh dropped the deeds on the official announcement. He tweeted, “BIGGG NEWS... Cinema halls/multiplexes in #Maharashtra given permission to reopen by the Government of #Maharashtra from tomorrow [5 Nov 2020]... With 50% of their seating capacity... #OfficialOrder dated 3 Nov 2020. NOTE...Cinema halls/multiplexes to reopen outside containment zones. No eatables will be allowed inside cinema halls/multiplexes. #Maharashtra”
This is apart from all the indoor stadiums, swimming pools, and yoga institutes - again, outside containment zones – that will be allowed to function from Thursday onwards. All these facilities will have to strictly observe social distancing and sanitization norms.
