Ali Abbas Zafar directorial Bharat is an official adaptation of the South Korean movie, Ode To My Father. “The film tracks the journey of a man and a nation, simultaneously. The story spans over 65 years, and every role in the film is important. The idea is to make a movie with many special characters”. It stars Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles. Soon after the film was announced, Disha Patani came on board for the project and reports of the film being a two-heroine project started doing rounds on the internet.

As per the reports, Ali Abbas Zafar narrated the entire story to Disha before I signed her on. She said that she will do the film irrespective of her part in it, because it is a beautiful story. She also added that the film is more important than anybody s role.

He also went on to explain that times are changing and how screen-space no longer solely determines if an actor should sign the dotted line. “Even big actors get excited about great content in the mainstream space. So, I can’t take something that s substandard to any of the top stars. Every Friday becomes a career-defining moment. When the expectations are higher, the challenge becomes that much bigger, he added. If you haven’t heard already, Bharat which will have Salman playing 5 different characters and looks, also stars Sunil Grover, Tabu among others.
