The first official trailer of Dreamland is out, starring Margot Robbie in the lead, portraying a fugitive bank robber during the Great Depression. The movie also stars Finn Cole (Peaky Blinders), playing a young man who dreams of escaping his small Texas town. When he encounters Robbie’s character, wounded and on the run, he is torn between claiming her bounty and his growing attraction to her.
A drama thriller film, directed by Miles Joris-Peyrafitte from a screenplay by Nicolaas Zwart, the film is set in the 1930s, amid the devastation of the Dust Bowl. The story follows a 15-year-old boy on his quest to capture a fugitive bank robber and collect the bounty on her head, all with the goal of saving his family farm from foreclosure.
Against all odds, he beats out the FBI and the local police to find her, only to discover that she's far more than what the authorities claim her to be.
The film also stars Travis Fimmel, Garrett Hedlund, Kerry Condon, and Darby Camp.
It had its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival on April 28, 2019. It is scheduled to be released in a limited release on November 13, 2020, followed by a video on demand on November 17, 2020, by Vertical Entertainment.
