Actor and ‘Bigg Boss 13’ contestant Paras Chhabra has said that he ended his relationship with Pavitra Punia because she was cheating on him. He also advised Eijaz Khan, who is one of the contestants in ‘Bigg Boss 14’ along with Pavitra Punia to stay away from her otherwise his life will be ruined.

Paras Chhabra was interacting with the media on Tuesday in Mumbai.

Paras Chhabra has claimed that Pavitra Punia was married when they briefly dated, and she hid this from him. His comments come as a reaction to Pavitra’s recent statement, in which she said that if he has any self-respect he wouldn’t join her in the Bigg Boss house this season. Paras is a former contestant on the reality show, while Pavitra is a part of the ongoing season 14. Paras said that he found out that she was married when her husband sent him a message, and subsequently learned of more ‘shocking’ details about her.

Talking about their relationship, Paras said, “I got to know that before entering ‘Bigg Boss’ house, Pavitra said very distasteful things about me. Firstly, I think her name Pavitra (pure) is very wrong; she should be named Apavitra (impure). Before the show, she was telling everyone that I am a cheater and liar but on the first day of the show, she confessed that she was double dating me, so what kind of girl she is? I never revealed the reason for the breakup but she was double dating and that’s why I ended my relationship with her. Plus, she was married. If you are married then why do you need to be in another relationship? In one of her interviews, she said that I am the biggest regret of her life, so I would like to ask her if I am the biggest regret of your life then why you were in a relationship with me despite being a married woman?”

In the previous episode of Bigg Boss 14, a glimpse of Pavitra Punia and Eijaz Khan was shown where the actress was seen getting cozy and mushy with him, whereas Eijaz seems uncomfortable.

Pavitra Punia, in a video with Rubina Dilaik, tells her that she sees the loneliness in him, and therefore feels emotionally connected with him. She further says that she tried everything from her end to develop a connection with Eijaz but he doesn't reciprocate. Pavitra gets emotional, cries, and says that she can't afford to lose him.

Reacting to it, Paras said, “If love angle between Eijaz and Pavitra is emerging in the show then I will pray for Eijaz bhai because if he stays in a relationship with Pavitra then his life will be ruined. He is a good actor and I think he has done some good shows on television, so I feel he should stay away with such people (Pavitra Punia).”     

When asked Paras whether he is following ‘Bigg Boss 14’, he said, “I have only watched two episodes of ‘Bigg Boss’ because I was busy with my work commitments. Whatever I have seen in those two episodes, I think only (Sidharth) Shukla is shining in the show, so I feel like it's ‘Bigg Boss 13’ only. I think this season is looking a bit monotonous because I haven’t seen anything new in it. In this season, Sidharth Shukla, Hina Khan, and Gauhar Khan who have made their entry as ‘seniors’ are directing new contestants and I think ‘Bigg Boss’ is not about directing anyone. It’s about showing your own personality, so I feel it is a bit monotonous but Shukla is entertaining everyone that’s why I saw it.”

He said that no season of ‘Bigg Boss’ will be able to match the popularity of the 13th season of the television reality show, he said, “I don’t think any season of ‘Bigg Boss’ will be as popular as ‘Bigg Boss13’ in terms of controversies and highest TRP ratings. But I wish that every season of ‘Bigg Boss’ does well because today whatever I am is all because of this show. I think ‘Bigg Boss’ is such a platform where you have to put your efforts then it will give you results and if you will not do anything being on the show then you will don’t get anything and you are just wasting your time over there, so it also affects the popularity of the show.”

Talking about his upcoming projects, Paras said, “I felt good that I came to Mumbai after a long time. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, I went to Chandigarh and I have started my own production house and music label over there. At the moment, we are doing music videos under my production house and now, we have got offers to do 2-3 music videos in Mumbai, so that’s the reason I am in the city. Now, I am making only music videos but from early next year, I will start working on movies and web series under my production house because this has always been my plan.”
