Feels like Months, Not 35 years In Industry Says Anees Bazmee
Anees Bazmee, one of the most prolific director, writer and producer known for his commercial potboilers across different languages and varied genres, completes 35 glorious years in Industry, says it feels like just yesterday.
During his recent media interaction, Anees Bazmee talked about completing 35 years in film Industry. He said, “I don’t know how many years I have completed in the film industry. Honestly it feels like I am here since last couple of months. I am enjoying it as much as I enjoyed it when I started out in the industry. And I still work with the same excitement and energy”
“I’ve never looked back. Frankly, I don’t even remember how many films I have wrote, films I have directed, I look ahead, and I feel I have to do good work in future” added the filmmaker.
Anees Bazmee is best known for directing several successful comedy films like No Entry (2005), Welcome (2007) and Singh Is Kinng (2008), among others.
Currently the filmmaker is busy with Pagalpanti, which is another ensemble romantic comedy, starring Anil Kapoor, John Abraham, Ileana D’Cruz, Arshad Warsi, Pulkit Samrat, Kriti Kharbanda, Urvashi Rautela and Saurabh Shukla. The film is based on an Indian superstition about ‘Shani’ Saturn.
Talking about the film, Anees said, “Majority of the film is ready. We release on 8th November. We have shot the majority of the film in London. We are not shooting the part which needed to be shot here. We will complete the shooting part very soon.”
Pagalpanti is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Abhishek Pathak, Krishan Kumar and Kumar Mangat. The filming is scheduled to be released on 8 November 2019.
