​Filmmaker Sudhir Mishra’s Father Passed Away

Noted filmmaker Sudhir Mishra’s father Dr. Devendra Nath Mishra, passed away on Thursday morning due to a heart ailment.
The filmmaker Anubhav Sinha took to his social media and expressed his grief and confirmed the news. He said, “Sudhir Bhai lost his father this morning to a heart ailment. Deep condolences. Last rites to be performed at 5 this evening at Jogeshwari. @IAmSudhirMishra”
Anubhav Sinha again took to his social media and shared on behalf of Sudhir Mishra He wrote, “@IAmSudhirMishra Is overwhelmed with all your wishes and prayers. He understands you would like to be with him in this difficult time but looking at the present social restrictions he requests you all to not step out for the last rites this evening. Stay at home and stay safe.”
Director Anubhav Sinha tweeted that the last rites will be performed at Jogeshwari crematorium on Thursday evening here.
The official handle of Iftda India also expressed the grief, it said, “We are extremely grieved to inform you that our eminent Director member @IAmSudhirMishra father Dr. Devendra Nath Mishra passed away today due to heart ailment .We pray to the almighty to bless his noble soul & give courage to his bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss.”
Sudhir Mishra’ father was a professor of Mathematics at Sagar University, Jt. Education Advisor, Ministry of Education, Deputy Director CSIR, Head of MP Science and Technology and Vice Chancellor of BHU.
The filmmaker Sudhir is known for making movies Dharavi, Is Raat Ki Subah Nahin and Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi. This was followed by Khoya Khoya Chand and Yeh Saali Zindagi in 2011.
His latest film was Inkaar in 2013. The movie starred Arjun Rampal and Chitrangada Singh.
