"Grateful To Launch Segways For Mumbai Police Says Akshay Kumar".
Actor Akshay Kumar graced the launch of Segways for Police Patrolling at Worli Seaface, says he is grateful for being a part of the event.
In a first-of-its-kind revolution, Mumbai Police forces will now conduct patrolling on Segway electric scooters in the city. Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh inaugurated Segway electric scooters for police personnel.
The event saw Aaditya Thackrey, Parambir Singh, Vishwas Nangre Patil, and Akshay Kumar graced the event. Fifty two-wheeled, self-balancing 'personal transporters' were deployed in south Mumbai.
Taking the centre stage at the event, Akshay Kumar said, "I am so happy and so proud that Mumbai Police is going to get a vehicle through which they will be able to control a lot of things over here. I think that's good news for all the citizens of Mumbai. I am thankful to the Mumbai Police and Maharashtra Government for making me a part of this ceremony"
The actor, who has played a cop in numerous films including Mohra, Main Khiladi Tu Anari, Khakee, and Aan: Men At Work, returns in a uniformed avatar on the big screen soon with Rohit Shetty's Sooryavanshi. He plays the role of Veer Sooryavanshi, chief of the Anti-Terrorism Squad, who is on a mission to prevent terrorist attacks in Mumbai.
Akshay Kumar has also lined-up Bell Bottom, Atrangi Re, Bachchan Pandey, and Prithviraj in the pipeline.
Prithviraj is a historical action drama film directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi and produced by Yash Raj Films. It is based on the life of Prithviraj Chauhan. The film will mark the acting debut of Manushi Chhillar.
The film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Sonu Sood, Ashutosh Rana, and Sakshi Tanwar in pivotal roles.
