Karishma Tanna who started her career with the television show Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi has come a long way. Today she is a known face in television, the web world, and even Bollywood. Recently, her first-ever dance number in Bollywood 'Basanti' from the film Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari was released and the song is getting an amazing response from the audience.
Talking about her experience of working on the song, she said, "When I was first approached for the song and I heard the lyrics, I started laughing. The song is based on a legendary dialogue and I am so happy to be a part of it. Working on it with Manoj Bajpayee and the entire team of Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari was a dream come true. We shot the entire song before lockdown but because of Corona the release had to be pushed."
Karishma who is looking drop-dead gorgeous in the song further added, "I am too happy with the response the song is getting."
The 'Sanju' actress has herself been a part of Bigg Boss season 8. When asked about the current season, she said, "I have not been able to watch the current season as I was shooting in Lucknow for my next film 'Lahore Confidential' for Zee5."
Recently, the news of Shradha Kapoor playing the lead role in the Nagin trilogy came out and Karishma herself has been a part of the Nagin franchise on television. She commented on this saying," Nagin has been made a brand by Balaji and I am thankful to Ekta Kapoor who made me a part of Nagin franchise'.
Karishma will next be seen in 'Lahore Confidential' alongside Richa Chadha and Arunoday Singh. The film will revolve around the life of a divorced Indian woman who is sent for an Intelligence duty in Pakistan. It will showcase the thrilling love story of two spies who will be a the tug of war with each other.
It is releasing on ZEE5 on 11 November.
