Both Bollywood actresses Kangana Ranaut and Urmilla Matondkar have been engaged in a war of words earlier. The Rangeela girl called out the latter for her statements in the alleged Bollywood drug case. And the Panga actor reacting to her comment called her soft porn star. After a few months when Urmilla was asked on the same she said that the media is giving unnecessary importance to this issue. And talking more about this is a waste of time.
Urmilla Matondkar on Tuesday joined the Shiv Sena in Mumbai and addressed a press conference immediately thereafter. The actor-turned-politician had earlier lost her seat in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections while contesting for Congress.
When asked actor Kangana Ranaut keeps targeting Shiv Sena, so as an actor and a Shiv Sena member will she answer here, on this Urmilla said, Never, I am least bothered in answering her. I am not her fan. I think there is no point in talking to her because I have already spoken to her a lot in one of the interviews. It’s a democratic country, whoever wants to say they will say.
I want to clear one thing that the interview done earlier was not to answer or target Kangana. It was because most of the questions were asked of her, so I had to answer. Today at this stage I think already we have given so much importance to this issue, so it’s better we can drop this topic.
About the controversy, The Queen actor earlier was seen talking on alleged drug mafia in Bollywood. The Judaai star reacting to Ranaut’s comments about the existence of a drug mafia in Bollywood said that “the entire country is facing the menace of drugs. Does she (Kangana) know Himachal is the origin of drugs? She should start from her own state.”
Reacting to her comment, in a television interview, Kangana Ranaut called Urmila Matondkar a “soft porn star.” Claiming that it wouldn’t be very difficult for her to get a ticket to contest in politics if she so wished, Ranaut said, “Even Urmila, she is a soft porn star. I know it’s very blatant. But she isn’t known for her acting for sure. What is she known for? For doing soft porn right? If she can get a ticket, why won’t I get a ticket?” Kananga’s futile comment received criticism from numerous celebrities on social media.
On the work front, Matondkar is well-known for her performances in movies like Rangeela, Judaai, Satya, Khoobsurat, and Jungle. She has also ventured into Telugu and Tamil cinema with films like Antham, Gaayam, Indian, and Anaganaga Oka Roju.
