​Kangana Ranaut Celebrates National Handloom Day
Controversial Queen Of Bollywood, actress Kangana Ranaut just took to her social media and shared some of the most stunning pictures of herself along with her sister Rangoli, flaunting hand-woven saree’s on this National Handloom Day.
7th August was chosen as the National Handloom Day to commemorate the Swadeshi Movement which was launched on this day in 1905 in the Calcutta Town hall to protest against the partition of Bengal by the British Government.
Team Kangana Ranaut's official handle dropped some of the stunning and gorgeous pictures of Kangana and Rangoli. The caption read, “Today is #NationalHandloomDay. Let's promote handloom, handmade, artisanal, and everything our nation should be proud of. When you choose handloom you choose weavers who are struggling for their survival, you choose to be #vocalforlocal, you choose mother earth and love for every single being on this planet. #vocalforhandloom”
On the work front, Ranaut began the new decade with Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari's sports film Panga. She played a young mother and homemaker who trains to stage a comeback in Kabaddi.
Next, Ranaut will next portray the politician Jayalalithaa in the trilingual biopic Thalaivi and star in the action film Dhaakad.
Thalaivi is an upcoming biographical film directed by A. L. Vijay and produced by Vishnu Vardhan Induri and Shailesh R Singh under their respective banners Vibri Media and Karma Media And Entertainment. The story is about the life of J. Jayalalithaa, late politician and film actress who served six terms as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, with Kangana Ranaut playing the role of Jayalalithaa.
