Kangana Ranaut to reshoot major portions of Manikarnika – The Queen of Jhansi

The controversy about Manikarnika has still not subsided, with more gossip and news coming out from the film’s stable every day. Now, reports suggest that major portions of the film will be reshot. With major stars like Sonu Sood walking out of the film, the work has only increased. There’s still no clarity about why Sonu Sood left the shoot, with rumours about him not comfortable with a female director cropping up.

From the point of logic, Sonu should have no qualms about working with a female director. He has earlier worked with Farah Khan in Happy New Year. Also, Sonu Sood is one of the many non controversial actors in Bollywood. This is the first time that someone has labeled him a misogynist. Kangana had earlier leveled charges against Hrithik Roshan, but nothing came out of that. Manikarnika is gearing up for a 2019 release.

The controversy erupted when the image of a  Manikarnika clapboard with Kangana’s name as the director came on the social networks. Kangana has been accused of sabotaging writer’s works earlier too. A couple of years back, Apoorva Asrani, who had written the script for Kangana’s Simran had accused her of trying to take credit for the script.
