Karan Johar’s Student Of The Year 3 to be a web series starring Alaya Furniturewala 

Karan Johar earlier set to launch Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter with the third instalment of Student Of The Year franchise is now going to release the story in a web series format. According to a recent report the filmmaker is planning on turning the franchise into a show thanks to his previous successful collaborations with Netflix.

Student Of The Year 2, starring Tiger Shroff, Tara Sutaria and Ananya Panday, failed to impress with its box office numbers, but both actresses managed to make an impact and garnered alot of fan following. While Ananya has been seen in Pati Panti Aur Woh with Kartik Aaryan, Tara Sutaria is gearing up for Ek Villain 2 post Marjaavaan with Sidharth Malhotra.

According to a report in an entertainment portal, director Raj Mehta (Good Newwz) has been roped in by Karan Johar as the creative head for the STOY3. The web show will reportedly see Pooja Bedi’s daughter, Alaya Furniturewala who debuted with Saif Ali Khan’s Jawaani Jaaneman. The new actress is being considered for the leading female role while the team is still working on the remaining cast members.

Recently Karan Johar shut down all rumours about launching Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan and Bigg Boss 13 runner-up Asim Riaz in SOTY3, on social media and said that no work has started on this film yet.

Karan Johar is currently busy working on his ambitious direction project Takht, which will star Kareena Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Vicky Kaushal, Janhvi Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and more.
