Kartik Aaryan gets called out for statement, his films have ‘women with defects’

Kartik Aaryan alongside co-star Sara Ali Khan went on to promote his next release, on Radio City this week. His film, Love Aaj Kal will be hitting theatres before the release of Ayushmann Khurrana’s Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan. During the conversation on Radio, City Kartik drew a comparison between his and Ayushmann Khurrana’s films and said, “It often happens that Ayushmann does films about men with defects while I do films about women with defects.”

The statement led to quiet the backlash on social media for the actor, one user slammed the actor, “Has he gone mad… Success and few confessions by females abt him being crush has gone into his head.. He is himself thinking as some superstar already.. Dude there’s no comparison between yours cheap flims and ayushmans flims.. Dont go there..”

While another wrote, “Can I punch him in the face?, @avvnnee: “You’re the only one with defects here bro.”

Earlier, Kartik was wrapped in controversy over a dialogue on marital rape from his last film, Pati Patni Aur Woh.
