‘Let’s show the world we are together’: Akshay Kumar Hails Janta curfew 

Akshay Kumar on Thursday, hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Janta curfew initiative to be exercised on Sunday, March 22, amidst the coronavirus pandemic. The actor urged his fans to join the initiative and show the world we are together.

Kumar on twitter wrote, “An excellent initiative by PM @narendramodi ji
this Sunday, March 22 from 7 am to 9 pm let’s all join in the #JantaCurfew and show the world we are together in this. #SocialDistancing”

Many other stars have also come together to advocate the initiative and asked their fans to stay at home at all costs on Sunday to help prevent coronavirus and break the chain of transmission.

Meantime Akshay Kumar’s film ‘Sooryavanshi’ directed by Rohit Shetty and co-starring Katrina Kaif, has been postponed from its scheduled release on March 24, indefinitely, amidst the coronavirus pandemic.

The actor announced the change in release date on his Twitter earlier this month and wrote, “Because our safety always, always comes first. Stay safe and take care of yourself” He shared a picture with the tweet which read, the team has decided to put everyone’s safety first and postponed the release of the film.
