Maari 2: Sai Pallavi to play the role of autodriver adding more swag as Araathu Anandi in the film!

Maari 2 is the sequel of 2015 hit film Maari. The film marks the Tamil debut of Malayalam actor Tovino Thomas, who will be seen as the antagonist. Maari 2 also stars Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Robo Shankar.

Maari 2 has two lead characters with a lot of swagger. After the first part of the franchise was successful largely due to Dhanush’s swag as a local rowdy, director and writer Balaji Mohan has created Kalai and Araathu Anandhi played by actors Krishna and Sai Pallavi, respectively. Their character looks were revealed on social media on Thursday and from the looks of it, Sai Pallavi will play the role of an auto driver and Krishna will play Maari’s friend.

Produced by Dhanush’s home banner Wunderbar Studios, Maari 2, which is eyeing a December release, has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
