Actress and former ‘Bigg Boss 14’ contestant Kashmera Shah, who will next be seen in an untitled Marathi film, feels that filmmaker Mahesh Manjrekar believes in her acting ability. She added that the maker of ‘Vaastav: The Reality’ has always given her the opportunity to act in his films irrespective of her changing body type.
Kashmera Shah was interacting with News Helpline on Wednesday in Mumbai.
Earlier, Kashmera has appeared in films like ‘The City of Gold’ (2010) and ‘FU: Friendship Unlimited’ (2017) under Mahesh Manjrekar’s direction, sharing her experience working with him, Kashmera said “I really like working with Mahesh ji because I find him very lucky for me. If I am looking fat or thin, he always gives me work and I think he likes the actor in me, so I am looking forward to working with him.”
Talking about her upcoming project, Kashmera said, “I am shooting with Mahesh Manjrekar for a film. I am going to start shooting for it in the next two days. He is happy that I got evicted from the show (Big Boss 14).”
She added, “It’s an untitled Marathi film. In the film, I am playing a simple girl who lives in the crawl but she is running at the same time. She is sexy so she is a fantasy of all the men in chawl but she is trying to get her share in the parental flat.”
‘Bigg Boss 14’ has been doing great since Vikas Gupta and his challengers Arshi Khan, Rakhi Sawant, Rahul Mahajan, Kashmera Shah, and Manu Punjabi entered the show. They brought in new energy and a new way to play the game. Their strategies and game plans impressed everyone and once again the audience began watching Bigg Boss 14. However, Kashmera Shah could not stay for a long time and was eliminated.
Earlier, Kashemra has been a part of the first season of ‘Bigg Boss’ (2006) and ‘Bigg Boss 13’ (2019) as a contestant.
Talking about what kind of changes she has observed in Bigg Boss as a reality show, Kashmera said, “I think the show has improved a lot and every season has got better with the time. Some seasons didn’t work because contestants weren’t good in that season. The 13th season did really well because contestants were really good in it and it had genuine relationships.”
She added, “If you see in this season, there are a few contestants who are already in a relationship (Rubina Dilaik – Abhinav Shukla), so they get an unfair advantage because husband and wife are not going to vote against each other. So, what’s the mistake of others who have gone there as solo contestants? You (makers of Bigg Boss) should have sent 6 couples and then see who is going to sustain there. I think now ‘Bigg Boss’ has adopted a revolving door policy because anyone is coming and going from the show but I think they will creatively improve the show.
