Television actor Chahatt Khanna is best known for her performances in the television serial Tujh Sang Preet Lagai Sajna, Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, and Qubool Hai. The actor is all set to explore digital space, believes that though the digital space has provided the makers with boundless opportunities and liberty, they have misused it. They have exploited it by showing intimate scenes and sex.
Chahatt Khanna was interacting with News Helpline on Monday in Mumbai.
Talking about the intimate scenes, the web gives a lot of liberty, on this Chhahat said, Yeah this is the fact, but if you talk about my choice, I don’t like to watch something like this. For example, the web series Mirzapur, a lot of people must have loved it but I didn’t watch it. Because I didn’t like the love angle of father-in-law with her daughter-in-law. It was really disgusting to me. And if we talk about the skin show, people are exploiting the digital space as much as they can. But one should understand that the more you will exploit, the more it will be banned, maybe today or tomorrow. Very soon there will be censor for digital platforms. And people should now become loyal to digital. I believe that digital will be our first or second screen because television is all about digital.
Expressing about her upcoming project Chahatt said, I am exploring the webspace and starting something new on the web which is the series. But not many people are interested to know what I am doing on the web, they want to know about what I am doing on TV and in films. But I think digital is the future, so I am exploring my future. It will be very early for me to reveal about the project. But yeah I am coming up with something on the web. It’s a series of my own. Just keeping my finger crossed, hope everything goes well.
Chahatt started her career at just 16 years old. She first appeared in Cadbury’s television commercial as a model, directed by Pradeep Sarkar then she got a chance to make her television debut in 2002 with the television show Sachi Baat Sabhi Jag Jane.
