"Maria Goretti Celebrates World Chef Day, Pens An Heartfelt Note".
On World Chef Day, the actress turned restaurateur Maria Goretti Warsi just took to his social media and wrote an inspirational note and expressed her gratitude to the Chef’s in the world which helped and inspired her.
Arshad Warsi’s wife Maria, who started her career as a VJ, post that she moved to act, but her true calling was food. She took her dream and enrolled in a proper baking degree and now runs one of the hottest joints in Mumbai, plus dozens of cookbooks in her name.
She took to her social media and shared a series of pictures to mark every milestone of her culinary journey. She captioned it, “I started my food blog “The Maria Goretti corner” in 2010, the same year I learned baking from Sophia Polytechnic for a year. And just put my experiments on the blog, along with talking about life”
“I realized that food and my insides are deeply connected. These food experiments and writing was a catharsis to me...My first Chefs uniform was in 2011, from #TanteMarie Woking, a gordongram holding, where I learned the art of French cuisine, Boulangerie, and simple cakes. I got back with a new skill set and no plan. So I just went with the flow...My YouTube channel “The Maria Goretti Corner” was born in 2014. I wrote the book” From My Kitchen To Yours” that won the Gourmand Award in 2017...In the middle of all this, I got back to hosting on television, this time in my new avatar of a “chef”.
“I loved this new path and continued doing demos, making menus, and teaching kitchen staff. In 2018 I went off to Le Cordon Bleu London and Paris and did my Diploma in Patisserie. And an entire Eggless baking module from the SEP Mumbai...Do I have a plan? Oh yes!!! To be the best version of myself, satisfied like the cat that got the cream and sparkling from inside. So I’m working on that. The blueprint is in my mind...”

Goretti made a special appearance in the movie Salaam Namaste along with her son Zeke Warsi. She did a small role in the movie Raghu Romeo directed by Rajat Kapoor.
