Veteran Actor Dharmendra Deol took to his social media profile and shared a picture of himself casting his vote in the fifth phase polling of Lok Sabha Elections and urged everyone to pray for their Motherland.
The fifth phase of the 17th Lok Sabha election kick-start on Monday, voters from seven states will cast their ballots across 51 seats to choose from 674 candidates.
Dharmendra Deol, among early celebrity voters, took to his social media and shared a heartfelt message. He wrote, “My vote, my strength. Proud to be an Indian, world’s largest Democracy. I pray, it should be the most loving Democracy, there should be a great unity among all the religions as it was before 15 the August 1947. Please, pray, your Mother land…be in peace”
Since the fourth phase of polling, Mumbai—the country’s financial capital—recorded the highest voter turnout in three decades saw many celebrities casting their votes and urging fans to practice their democratic right.
Entire Bollywood fraternity took time and energy in the fourth phase of polling to come in large numbers and vote, also urged Indian citizen to contribute by participating in polling as well.
Dharmendra’s eldest son actor Sunny Deol has also joined the BJP, his father and veteran actor Dharmendra is a former BJP leader himself. Actor Sunny Deol will contest the Lok Sabha Election from Punjab’s Gurdaspur.
