"People Are Appreciating My New Character Kaira, and I Am Happy About It, Says Shivangi Joshi".
The highly praised and the much-admired show ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ completed 12 years today. The entire cast and crew were present at the celebration, which included a puja, havan, and cake-cutting, organized by the producer. A number of the cake was brought for the team as the show completed 3300 successful episodes on-air. Now as the show will see a new cast in the coming weeks and many things will change, Shivangi Joshi talked on the same.
Shivangi Joshi was seen interacting with News Helpline in Mumbai on Tuesday.
Feeling overwhelmed with the response, Shivangi said, “I am happy that I am getting a good response for my new character Kaira. People are applauding my work and I am feeling quite grateful about it. I do understand people's emotions they are eager to know what will happen next. But I just want to say that keep watching the show, they will surely enjoy it”.
When asked always through your character the story of the show is twisted, on this Shivangi said, “I don’t mind if the story is twisted on the basis of my character. It’s a good thing”.
About the show, the Star Plus show ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ first went on air in January 2009 and is produced under Rajan Shahi’s banner Director’s Kut Productions.
The show featured Hina Khan and Karan Mehra, who played Akshara and Naitik respectively when it first went on air. It focussed on their love story, family, and how they dealt with all the situations. Later their daughter Naira takes the story forward. She gets married to Kartik and the story then focussed on their life, how they always maintain a balance, and also parenting.
Recently, the show featured a major twist with Naira’s death. The show features Shivangi Joshi and Mohsin Khan in lead roles.
