PM Narendra Modi Releases on 11th April Says Vivek Oberoi

Actor Vivek Oberoi takes a sigh of relief and confirms on his social media that his forthcoming biopic, PM Narendra Modi is releasing on 11th April 2019, as the Supreme Court has rejected the plea to deter the release of film.

A plea was filed by Congress activist seeking deferment of the release of the biopic on Prime Minister Narendra Modi till the completion of upcoming Lok Sabha polls alleging that it was designed to “manipulate, influence and impress viewers and voters”.

But today, the Supreme Court refused to stay the release of ‘PM Narendra Modi’, stating the plea is “premature” as the movie has not yet been certified by the Censor Board.

Vivek Oberoi took to his social media and tweeted, “With all your blessings, support and love, today we have won in the Honorable Supreme Court! A humble thank you to all of you and to the Indian juidiciary for upholding our faith in democracy! Thursday 11th April. Jai Hind #PMNarendraModiWins”

The film stars Vivek Oberoi in the titular role of Narendra Modi in the film. The movie also stars Boman Irani, Manoj Joshi, Kishori Shahane, Darshan Kumaar, Prashant Narayanan, Zarina Wahab, Imran Hasnee, Barkha Bisht Sengupta and Yatin Karyekar in pivotal roles.

The film is directed by Omung Kumar and jointly produced by Suresh Oberoi, Sandip Ssingh, and Anand Pandit.

Titled “PM Narendra Modi”, the biopic which was slated to be released on April 5, has been postponed till further notice, now the film releases on 11th April.
