Magnum Opus, Adipurush starring Prabhas and Saif Ali Khan gets a release date and the makers also confirm that the film will start rolling in 2021.
Om Raut directorial Adipurush will be a multi-lingual drama, which will release on August 11, 2022. The film is an adaptation of Ramayana with Prabhas playing the role inspired by Lord Ram and Saif playing the role based on Ravan.
The official handle of T- Series dropped the deeds on the film. It said, “Starring Prabhas & Saif Ali Khan, this multi-lingual magnum opus 3D feature film Directed by Om Raut, will release on 11th Aug 2022. The role-based on Sita is yet to be taken up by an actor. There was speculation that Anushka Sharma might be starring in that role, but there have been rumors that Keerthy Suresh might be cast in this role, but no announcements have been made yet.
Adipurush will be shot in Hindi and Telugu and will release in Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada as well.
Saif Ali Khan and Om Raut had previously collaborated on Tanhaji where Saif played an antagonist as well. This is the first time that Raut is collaborating with Prabhas.
The film starts rolling in January 2021.
