Release date changed for Irrfan Khan’s Angrezi Medium, Janhvi Kapoor’s Gunjan Saxena, and Roohi Afzana

Irrfan Khan and Kareena Kapoor starrer Angrezi Medium, which was scheduled for release on March 20, will now release a week earlier in the theatres on March 13, 2020. On the other hand, Janhvi Kapoor’s Gunjan Saxena has been postponed to April 24 and her next release Roohi Afazana which also stars Rajkummar Rao and Varun Sharma will hit the screens on June 5, 2020.

Producer Dinesh Vijan confirmed the news about the date change, saying: “‘Angrezi Medium’ is so special in so many ways but unfortunately Irrfan is unable to promote owing to his treatment. But what’s amazing is how so many from the industry have rallied in our support.” He also thanked filmmaker Karan Johar and said, he “has shown unconditional camaraderie and been so magnanimous by exchanging the release date” of his films Gunjan Saxena and Roohi Afzana.

Angrezi Medium, directed by Homi Adajania stars Irrfan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Dimple Kapadia, Pankaj Tripathi, Deepak Dobriyal, Ranvir Shorey and more.
