Sanjana Sanghi Receives A Special Note From 'The Fault In Our Stars' Author John Green

Sanjana Sanghi showcased outstanding performance in 'Dil Bechara' as Kizie Basu. The film which is based on John Green's bestselling novel 'The Fault In Our Stars' was a long pending release but was finally released on Hotstar earlier this year post-Sushant Singh Rajput's demise. This film holds a special place in Sanjana's life as it was Sushant's last film and what made it more special now is the author John Green himself has appreciated her performance in the film.
Sharing a screenshot of John Green's message, Sanjana wrote, " ITS JOHN GREEN HIMSELF! Could NOT resist sharing this moment with you all. And CANNOT be more annoyed with me for missing this beautiful message for over 3 months. Thank you for these unfathomable words, John. I will simply never be able to articulate what this means to me. It takes away so much heartache and pain. Thank you for giving us the most broken but beautiful world of The Fault In Our Stars, For watching our labor of love the very day it released, For embracing Kizie, she has both given and taken away so much from me. Forgiving us Hazel Grace Lancaster. It fills my heart up to know you felt I even came close to doing justice to the depths of her emotional journey. Indebted to you, forever. A forever fan. TFIOS all the way! "
Film was released on 24th July all over the world and this message from John Green was sent to her, the very next day i.e. on 25th July. She got a chance to read the message after three months.
John wrote a special note to her which says, "Hey, Sanjana. John Green here, author of The Fault In Our Stars. I saw the Dil Bechara film today and really enjoyed it. I thought your performance was magnificent - full of humor and heart and deep wells of emotions. Thank you for giving such a wonderful life to Kizie, and in doing so, giving life to Hazel Grace Lancaster. I can only imagine how difficult this whole process has been with the tragic loss of your co-star. I just wanted to say thank you thank you for helping bring the film to life. I wish you all the best with what I hope is a very bright future. "
'Dil Bechara' is Sushant Singh Rajput's last film and in order to pay homage to the late actor, the film was made accessible to all users sans platform subscription.
