Sarita Tanwar says ‘Broken’ is based on events in her life

When a Bollywood reporter turns a writer for a series, you can be sure that secrets are going to tumble out. That’s what everyone expected when it was announced that Sarita Tanwar would be writing a web series for Ekta Kapoor. That web series is the Vikrant Massey, Harleen Sethi, Jitin Gulati and  Simran Kaur Mundi starrer Broken.As the trailer suggests, the series is not about love, but about how people react to breakups and whether they can move on in life.

During the press conference, Simran was asked whether she had used any of her journalistic experiences to set up the story. To this, she said that the only experiences she has used are her’s. To this, Ekta Kapoor chimed in that the only real life experiences that have been used in the series are from her life and Simran’s.
