Actor Shahid Kapoor is celebrating Diwali with his wife Mira Rajput Kapoor in Delhi. On Sunday, Shahid posted a picture of himself along with his wife on social media and stated that he needs his wife company on a rainy winter evening.
Taking to Instagram, Shahid shared how he has been enjoying rainy winter evening post-Diwali with Mira.
"Just what I need on a rainy winter evening," Shahid captioned the post. In the image, Mira can be seen placing her hand on Shahid's chest as he takes selfies on his phone. The celebrity couple has celebrated Diwali at Mira's residence in Delhi.
Earlier, Shahid Kapoor and his wife Mira Rajput celebrated the festival of lights, Diwali on Saturday. Shahid shared a picture of the two of them. Sharing it, he wrote: “Happy Diwali to you all. Love and light.” The picture showed the young couple dressed in color-coordinated traditional dress. While Shahid had a colorful black kurta on, Mira was in a black silken dress.
Mira also shared a picture of several lit diyas and wished her well-wishers on Instagram on festive occasions. Missing in both their posts were pictures of their kids - daughter Misha and son, Zain.
Shahid Kapoor was last seen onscreen in Sandeep Vanga’s romantic drama blockbuster ‘Kabir Singh’ (2019) along with Kiara Advani.
Shahid will next be seen in ‘Jersey’ which is a Hindi remake of a Telugu hit of the same name. The Hindi version is directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, who had also helmed the 2019 original. The film also stars Mrunal Thakur, Pankaj Kapoor, and Sharad Kelkar in important roles.
The film’s story is about a talented but failed cricketer named Arjun, who decides to make a comeback in his late thirties and play for India, in order to fulfill his son's wish.
Last month, the actor and his co-actor Mrunal Thakur completed the Uttarakhand schedule of the film.
