This year Diwali is going to be special for Shahid Kapoor's fans. His last film 'Kabir Singh' left his fans surprised with his amazing acting and the film was a big hit. Since then his fans are waiting to see him in his next film 'Jersey'. The actor has now treated his fans with its release date.
The film will release this year on Diwali, 5 November in theatres.

'Jersey' is a sports drama directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri. The film is a Hindi remake of the superhit Telugu film of the same name which was released in 2019. It features Shahid Kapoor in a lead role alongside Mrunal Thakur, Pankaj Kapur, Tusshar Kapoor, Sharad Kelkar. The film is presented by Allu Aravind and produced by Aman Gill, Dil Raju, and S Naga Vamsi.
It is a story of a 36-year-old cricketer who stopped his cricketing career ten years ago. He decides to return to the game and represent the Indian Cricket team and fulfill his son's wish for a jersey as a gift.
Film's shoot started early last year but came to a halt owing to lockdown. It was then resumed in October and shot in various locations in and around Dehradun and Chandigarh.
The film will release in theatres near you on 5 November 2021.
