An FIR has been lodged against Kanika by the UP Police, for negligence against the health regulation made by the government of India. The singer was rumoured to have skipped the thermal screening at the airport by hiding inside the washroom.
In support for Kanika Sonam reminded netizens on Twitter, “Hey guys @TheKanikakapoor came back on the 9th. India was not self isolating but playing Holi.”
She even shared multiple insta stories in Kanika’s support. She shared a post which reads, “Stop vilifying Kanika Kapoor. We gain nothing from stigmatizing illness.” She even added “This trial by media needs to STOP”. In another story Sonam shared Kanika’s post where the singer has denied all media allegations made against her with.
Actor Rishi Kapoor also defended Kanika earlier today on twitter. He called out the hotel owners and asked them to share the right full information with media since the singer is currently being attacked on social media.
According to reports, Kanika is presently admitted to King George’s Medical University in Lucknow, where she is getting treated for COVID-19.
