"Soorarai Pottru And Maara Will Have Digital Release On Amazon Prime Video".
Cinema Halls and Multiplexes are all set to open their doors once again on 15th October after a long gap. However, some people are still hesitant to watch movies in theatres. Amidst this, Amazon Prime released a list of 9 films that will be releasing in the upcoming months of 2020 on their platform. Tamil films 'Soorarai Pottru' and 'Maara' also form a part of this list.
An official statement with regards to their release was given by the team of Amazon Prime.
'Soorarai Pottru' features superstar Suriya in the lead role. It has been directed by Sudha Kongara and produced by Suriya and Guneet Monga of Sikhya Entertainment. The film is the story of GR Gopinath, a retired Army Captain who founded low-cost airline Air Deccan. The film also stars Aparna Balamurli, Mohan Babu, and Paresh Rawal.
'Maara' features R Madhavan and Shradhha Srinath in lead roles. The film is directed by Dhilip Kumar and produced by Prateek Chakravorty and Shruti Nallappa. It is the official remake of the Malayalam movie 'Charlie' which came in the year 2015. The film also stars Sshivada, Moulee, and Alexander Babu.
Film Soorarai Pottru will release on 30th October and Maara will release on 17th December.
