"Sujoy Ghosh To Collaborate With Miraj And AVMA For Two Films".
Filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh will be collaborating with Miraj Creations and AVMA Media to produce and direct two Hindi feature films, with a commitment to back quality content to further the business and reach of Indian entertainment.
The first of the two projects titled Uma will be directed by debutante Tathagata Singha and creatively produced by Sujoy Ghosh. The second project will be helmed by Sujoy, based on Rabindranath Tagore’s short story Kabuliwala, the film is yet to be titled.
Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh dropped the deeds on the collaboration. He tweeted, “SUJOY GHOSH COLLABORATES WITH MIRAJ... Sujoy Ghosh, Mantraraj Paliwal [Miraj Creations] and Avishek Ghosh [AVMA Media] join hands to produce two #Hindi films...First film - titled #Uma - will be directed by ad filmmaker Tathagata Singha... Sujoy is a creative producer...Sujoy Ghosh will write and direct the second project [not titled yet]... The big-screen adaptation of #RabindranathTagore’s famed #Bengali short story #Kabuliwala... The film - a period drama - will be set in #UK. Both projects will start in 2021”
Sujoy Ghosh will himself write, direct and jointly produce the second project in the line-up -- a big-screen adaptation of Rabindranath Tagore’s famed Bengali short story, Kabuliwala. A period drama set in the United Kingdom. Both films will go on the floor next year.
Last Ghosh directed a web-series titled Typewriter, a horror drama starring Purab Kohli, Palomi Ghosh, Jisshu Sengupta, and Sameer Kochhar in the lead roles. The series is set in Goa and revolves around a haunted house and a book that captures the imagination of a group of wannabe ghost hunters.
