On the occasion of International Women's Day, T-Series and Himeshree Film announces an upcoming project, Tarini, the film is based on six female naval officers who went around the globe in 254 days, in a boat.
On 19 September 2017 – Officer Vartika Joshi, Pratibha Jamwal, P. Swati, S. Vijaya, Aishwarya, and Payal Gupta started their journey from Goa on the Indian Navy's Sailing Boat INS Tarini. The team of courageous women went around the globe, traveling almost 21,600 Nautical Miles, and came back home after 254 days.
The official handle of T- Series dropped the poster and confirmation on the film. It said, “Bringing to you the story of 6 courageous Indian women Naval officers who fearlessly circumnavigated the globe for 254 days. #Tarini going on floors soon. This campaign took about 254 days and along with these six navy women officers recorded their names in the pages of history forever. Tarini is the journey of a first-ever crew of six women from the Indian Navy, who broke barriers and circumnavigated the world through extreme conditions.
