Television actress Divya Agarwal's father Sanjay Agarwal died of COVID-19 on Wednesday. He had tested positive for the virus earlier this month and was admitted to a hospital in Mumbai.
Announcing the news on social media, Divya Agarwal shared a picture of herself and her father and wrote: "You are always with me... I love you, Papa... RIP."
Divya Agarwal had initially shared on social media about the infection when her brother Prince was tested positive for Covid and later her parents getting infected. Her father had a heart ailment and was immediately shifted to a hospital and later moved to the ICU due to his worsening condition.
The actress has been sharing health updates of her father urging fans to pray for him throughout the hospitalization. On Tuesday evening, the actor requested fans to pray for her father as his condition had deteriorated.
Several celebrities from the film and television industry such as Ekta Kapoor, Esha Gupta, Aly Goni, Rajiv Thakur, Karan Wahi, Rannvijay Singha, Neha Dhupia, Gaelyn Mendonca, Nikhil Chinapa, Aarya Babbar, and many others condoled the death of Divya's father in the comments section of her post.
Divya Agarwal's boyfriend, actor Varun Sood also shared an emotional post for her father on his Instagram account.
Divya’s father was an advocate by profession and her family lives in Navi Mumbai. She won the title of Miss Navi Mumbai in 2015. She also won several beauty contests including the Indian princess in Dubai held in 2016.
Divya Agarwal is best known for winning the reality show ‘Ace Of Space Season 1’. She has also appeared as a contestant on ‘Splitsvilla’. She has also featured in ALT Balaji's web-series Ragini ‘MMS Returns 2’ and ‘Puncch Beat’.
