The enigma is been reimagined and adopted by Imtiaz Ali and Ekta Kapoor. The execution of the film is in Imtiaz style, who made his debut with “Socha Na Tha”, which was not a commercial success. Then he earned critical and commercial success for his direction of “Jab We Met” in (2007). the writer and “presenter”, says he always wanted to make this film and when he looked around for the right “fresh” guy, chanced upon whom but brother Sajid. Sajid, the director, said yes, and looking around in turn for a suitably “exotic” place, chanced upon what but Kashmir, as his wife “belongs to Srinagar”.
The film present two debutants Tripti Dimri and Avinash Tiwary in and as Laila Majnu. The feeling of freshness, Some stories never die, they are either re-created, reimagined or retold. Such is the story of an absolute love between Laila Majnu. Set in the mystical backdrop of Kashmir, the story of Laila and Kaiz begins.An interesting modification in the film happens to be the flirtatious Laila.
An eternal love story which we’re hearing and admiring since our childhood is set to be recreated. Laila Majnu is the absolute love story, an enigma everyone fell far. The story has been said so many times, and every time it seems so fresh. The stereotypical portrayal of the initial part of Laila and Qais romance seems to have emerged from a genuine conviction that love can and does blossom in this way.
Imtiaz ali known for his perfection, the writer director of intense love stories such as Rockstar and Talking about the, Avinash Tiwary has nailed it with his charismatic role in a most unexpected manner, Tripti Dimri’s efforts somewhere down the line fall short. There is a repetitive expressions, which weren’t sufficient for such an important role.
Best part of the movie is the music by Niladri Kumar and Joi Barua. The execution of the songs is well incorporated through narration by none other than Sajid Ali. ‘O Meri Laila‘ – the melody, the energy, the orchestration, the singing by Atif Aslam and Jyotica Tangri has been delivered perfectly the context of love here is timeless, beyond life or death. beyond the feelings of sadness, cynicism or even mere contentment.
